ANGLO-FRENCH Travel (AFT) has set up a Hong Kong-based tour agency Hong Kong Express Travel and acquired 60 per cent of JCA International in Japan in its first steps to going global following its alliance with China Xpress last October.

AFT/China Express will also sign an exclusive Memorandum Of Understanding with China Diaoyutai International Travel Service, which is under China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for visa issuance, adding to its value-added services.

Chairman of China Credit Holdings, the parent company of China Express, Mr Chan Heng Fai said: As the corporate and leisure travel markets become increasingly discerning and travel-savvy, what we are offering is a professional one-stop shopping concept which will provide a comprehensive suite of branded products and services which customers can enjoy.” Meanwhile, AFT has launched a new brand – Anglo French Holidays – to grow its share in the leisure market. Currently, there are two retail outlets in Chinatown and Orchard Road with plans to expand to five outlets island-wide in the coming months.
